San Joaquin's Got Talent

Thanks to all who took part in the "Seventh Annual San Joaquin's Got Talent Show".  It was great to see the variety of talent and effort.  We all know how much courage it takes to get in front of many people and perform.  Thanks!

Howdy from Science Camp

Science Camp - Taking Sign Ups

5th Grade Families,

We are taking sign ups for Science Camp this year.  We only have 50 students places available.  We are going in November this year....which is soon.  Total cost is $290 per student, which includes all transportation and food for a week.  Fifty dollar ($50) cash deposit will hold one of the spaces.  If you have any questions please see one of the 5th grade teachers or Ms. Creamer.  There will be additional information coming soon.

Important Safety Information

NO PARKING LOT ACCESS

DURING STUDENT ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL

There will be no access to the school parking lot during student arrival and dismissal times. Non-Access times are 7:00 - 7:45 am and 1:00 - 2:00 pm.  This is for the safety of students, parents, and other pedestrians.

TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS:   No left turn out of the parking lot 7-8am and 1:30-2:30pm.  No dropping off/picking up children in middle lanes.  No parking in Red Zone.  Do not leave cars unattended or park in "Handicapped" spots. 
SECURITY GATES The district has installed new gates.
PHOTO IDs All 7th and 8th grade students will be required to wear school issued photo ID's while on campus. 
  All school personnel will be required to wear a visible SUSD issued photo ID while on campus.
STUDENT DROP OFF & DISMISSAL

Morning Drop-off: Students must be dropped off at the front gate.  No escorting students to class by parents.

  Dismissal Pick-Up:  Pick up students at designated gates.  No waiting for children or picking them up on campus.  Teachers will lead their classes to the gate.

Invest in your student's education!  Make sure they are at school everyday.  If you need to schedule doctors appointments, make sure they are after school whenever possible.

It is also extremely important that students arrive to school on time everyday.  Every minute in class is important and will help them be successful.
